Are there grants for small businesses run by single moms?

I am a single Mom with a small business are there any grants out there for me?

My business has been open for under 2 years now but I would like to expand my clientele. Without extra money for advertising it’s just not possible. I have found several websites that offer information on grants (single mom and womans) but they want you to pay to get that information. Can I get any of this information without having to pay for them?? I am afraid that if I pay for the information then it might turn out to be a scam and I will waste the money.

Where can single moms get funding help to start a business

Single mom, looking to start a business, any ideas on funding options?

I am a single mom of 2 young children trying to make a better future for them. I was wondering if anyone knows of any programs that I might be able to take advantage of to get assistance in starting my business. Thanks!

Single Mothers by Choice: A Guidebook for Single Women Who Are Considering or Have Chosen Motherhood

Single Mothers by Choice: A Guidebook for Single Women Who Are Considering or Have Chosen Motherhood – In this well-written and informative book, Mattes examines aspects of single motherhood. Her study functions as both a handbook for those who are single mothers by choice as well as a guide for women who are considering taking the plunge. Mattes’s suggestions run the gamut from ideas about becoming pregnant or adopting to dealing with relatives, neighbors, and strangers, from parenting and answering the “daddy” questions to handling the legal aspects of parenthood. Appendixes include addresses of support groups, sample legal agreements, and a list of further readings. Although there are a number of books dealing with single parenthood, Mattes’s guide deals with a special subset of that group: women who have chosen to parent alone. This very clearly written book is recommended for both public and academic libraries.

What should a Single Mom Do?

Single mom, should I stay home, start a home business, or go to work?

what-should-a-single-mom-do

I am a single mom to a 7 month old baby. I have been staying home with some assistance from the father of the baby, but the assistance has run out and now I only have a child support payment that is able to cover my bills and that is it.

It breaks my heart to leave my son to go to work but would it be best in the long run to start my career so I can provide for us in the future?

I have also thought about trying to start a freelance design business (I have a graphic design degree) but it is difficult to find time with a new baby. I never wanted to be a single mom, I had always envisioned being a SAHM until my kids went to school. Thanks for the input!
