Never allow your child to play in the street without supervision.
Streets are dangerous but some children would play on the street so if you see any children playing on the streets unsupervised, you should call their parents immediately. Provide
your child with good bicycle safety procedure.
When your child is riding a bike on the street, make sure he or she knows safety procedures and have he or she wear a bicycle helmet.
Never allow your child to go into someone's house without permission.
When working moms are not at home, it is hard to keep an eye on the children. However, it is good practice to make sure you children know not to get into someone else's house without permission.
Give your child permission to go to a Safe Home.
Working moms should introduce Safe Homes to the children as soon as they can comprehend and instruct them to go there if they get lost, hurt or scared when walking to and from school if it makes sense to do so.
